SECTION 2: Hazards identification

Critical Hazards: Aerosol container contains flammable gas under pressure. Extremely flammable liquid and vapour. Flammable liquified gas. Moderate Eye Irritation: Signs/symptoms may include redness, swelling, pain, tearing, and blurred or hazy vision. Moderate Skin Irritation: Signs/symptoms can include localized redness, swelling, itching, and dryness. Intentional concentration and inhalation may be harmful or fatal. May be absorbed following inhalation and cause target organ effects. May be absorbed following ingestion and cause target organ effects. Note: This product contains ethanol. In IARC published Monogragh No. 44, entitled, 'Alcohol Drinking', the carcinogenicity of ethanol was determined based on chronic exposure to ethanol through Mar-Hyde• Tal-Strip•Extra Strength Paint Remover, Page 2 of 12 • 2811 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- human consumption of alcoholic beverages. This is not an expected effect during the foreseeable use of this product. Ethyl Alcohol (64-17-5) has produced mutagenic effects in somatic and reproductive cells of animals exposed to high oral doses. WARNING Contains a chemical which can cause cancer. (75-09-2) (NTP anticipated human carcinogen, IARC possible human carcinogen 2B, ACGIH suspected human carcinogen A2) An ingredient in the controlled product, ETHYL ALCOHOL (64-17-5), has been shown to cause Genotoxicity and Mutagenicity: May interact with genetic material and possibly alter gene expression. METHYL ALCOHOL (67-56-1): can cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. METHYL ISOBUTYL KETONE (CAS 108-10-1) - May cause cancer (IARC group 2B).
