Interactions with other chemicals
Which Enhance Toxicity None known or reported. Acute Target Organ Toxicity May cause mild irritation to eyes, mucous membranes and skin. May cause gastrointestinal discomfort. Chronic Target Organ Toxicity There are no known or reported effects from repeated exposure except for effects similar to those experienced from single exposure. OLO020-3 SECTION UI - HEALTH INFORMATION (CONTINUED) Reproductive and Developmental Toxicity There are no known or reported effects on reproductive functions or fatal development from exposure to this specific mixture. A component of this product, glycol, has been tested and found that continuous exposure for 14 weeks in the drinking water at concentrations producing maternal toxicity resulted in an adverse effect in fertility and reproductive performance in laboratory animals. The fact that such findings were present only at those concentrations producing maternal toxicity diminishes the weight of such findings. Based on the limited exposure through industrial handling, exposure through ingestion being highly unlikely, and that this component is present at low concentrations in this product, the use of this product is not considered to pose any reproductive hazard. The glycol ether present in this product has been tested in laboratory animals and was found to cause testicular degeneration and atrophy in male animals after that administration of large doses in the drinking water for 90 days. The dose required from oral exposure to produce such effects makes it highly unlikely that sufficient exposure would be encountered industrially through normal use and handling. <A similar study conducted to evaluate this glycol ether by dermal exposure for 90 days did not produce similar findings. Carcinogenicity This product is not known or reported to be carcinogenic by any reference source including IARC,

Health 1 Flammability 1 Reactivity 1 Extinguishing Media : Alcohol foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemical, water spray Fire Fighting Techniques and Comments Use water to cool containers exposed to fire. See section X for protective equipment for fire fighting. OLO20-5 SECTION VII - REACTIVITY Conditions under Which This Product May Be Unstable Temperature Above Stable at normal temperature Mechanical Shock or Impact : No Electrical (Static) Discharge No Hazardous Polymerization Will not occur Incompatible Materials Strong oxidizers, aids and alkalis Hazardous Decomposition products: | Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide Summary of Reactivity Oxidizer Pyrophoric Organic Peroxide Water Reactive : SECTION IX - EMPLOYEE PROTECTION Control Measures : Handle in the presence of adequate ventilation. Engineering controls should be used whenever feasible to maintain concentrations below acceptable exposure criteria (see Section II and IV), mcluding enclosures and local exhaust ventilation. Respiratory Protection Where exposure is likely to exceed acceptable criteria (see Section II and IV) and engineering controls are not feasible, use NOSH/MISHA approved respiratory protection equipment. Respirators should be selected based on the form and concentration of contaminants in air and in accordance with OSHA (29 CFR 1910.134). Protective Clothing Wear gloves and protective clothing which are impervious to the product for the duration of exposure if there is potential for skin contact. Eye Protection Wear safety glasses meeting the specifications of ANSI standard Z87.1 where no contact with the eye is anticipated. Chemical safety goggles meeting the specification of ANSI Standard 787.1 should be worn whenever there is the possibility of splashing or other contact with the eyes. SECTION X - ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION For all transportation accidents, call CHEMTREC at 800-424-9300. Reportable quantity Not applicable Spill Mitigation Evacuation procedures must be placed into effect. Evacuate all nonessential Procedures: personnel. Utilize emergency response personal protective equipment prior to the start of any response. Remove all sources of ignition. Stop source of spill as soon as possible and notify appropriate personnel. Air Release : Vapors may be suppressed by the use of water fog or spray. Contain all liquid for treatment and/or disposal as a (potential) hazardous waste. OL020-6 SECTION X - ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (CONTINUED) Water Release : This material is heavier than and soluble in water. Notify all downstream water users of possible contamination. Divert water flow around spill if possible and safe to do so if unable to divert, create an overflow dam to contain material. Continue to handle as described in land spill.
